TDCX Launches Foundation; Digital Inclusion Focus

TDCX, Inc, a high-growth digital customer experience (CX) solutions provider for technology and blue-chip companies, announced today the launch of the TDCX Foundation.

By empowering individuals, boosting local communities, and advancing environmental sustainability, TDCX has reaffirmed its commitment to bringing about positive change. The Foundation will assist TDCX in streamlining its current CSR initiatives and in sharpening its focus on generating social impact for underserved communities, notably in bridging the digital gap.

The COVID-19 epidemic brought the need for widespread digital inclusion to light. Less than one in four persons in extremely precarious economic situations have access to the internet internationally, according to a Gallup study1. Additionally, according to UNICEF data, when the pandemic shut down schools, at least a third of children globally were unable to access remote learning, depriving them of education during crucial years2.

“As an enabler of the digital economy, we believe in the power of technology to better lives. Through technology, we can break down barriers, equalizing access to education, financial and healthcare services and economic opportunities.

“We want to not only help our clients and employees reap the benefits of a digital world but play a part in connecting people from disadvantaged backgrounds to the opportunities that technology brings. Through the TDCX Foundation, we will be able to go even further in giving back to the community.”

Mr Laurent Junique, CEO and Founder, of TDCX.

To promote digital inclusion, the TDCX Foundation will fund initiatives that provide access to technology, connectivity, IT equipment, and the skills needed to thrive in the economy. digital.

To begin with, TDCX is committed to supporting three initiatives in Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines that aim to improve digital learning facilities for students. According to a UNICEF study, 61% of 10- to 24-year-olds in ASEAN are not learning digital skills in school, with lack of access to technology identified as one of the main obstacles3 .

One of the organizations that the TDCX Foundation works with is the World Vision Fund of Thailand. The fund will provide funding to digitize school libraries in the rural highlands of Udon Thani province to improve the learning environment. The school library will be equipped with digital devices such as computers, laptops and educational software. That way, students will be able to participate in online learning programs to improve their digital literacy.

TDCX supports various community initiatives in corporate social responsibility pillars – “Be Green” to help fight climate change, “Be Happier” to feed people and “Be Kinder” to enhance the local community. Since the beginning of the year, TDCX has implemented more than 150 projects, helping more than 54,000 people benefit.
